About 4 years ago, there was a new print magazine that had arrived on the scene called Visions. With all of the best intentions of a new upstart, well, they couldn’t quite the get their money and production together. So, I have had this story on my computer for all of these years. I have used a few portraits from the series, however, not in it’s entirety. So, I decided to post Allen Roth (who no longer models_such a shame) in my photographic tribute to one of my favorite stories The Little Prince. Wearing all designs of Issey Miyake, this 16 year old boy rocked it out. This is my Throwback Thursday.
Okay, I have been slacking on my own Screenshots Sunday. BUT, I have been shooting non-stop of late. From a t-shirt lookbook to test shoots to printed and online editorials, I have shaked my money maker (My Canon Camera) all over the place. Here are a few highlights to share.
Happy Wednesday Peeps. The weather in NYC, at the moment, is quite Deeeeeeeee-Licious!!!
Isaac Lacey (Major) for the Australian brand called Supawear. Check out their new line of t-shirts and swimwear.
Jordi (Fusion) All around sportsman and a great friend from Amsterdam.
Josh Taylor_The first bonafide star on Tumblr. A nude sensation that he has created. Check him out. More to blog on him soon.
Tom Green (Q). Hailing from London, Tom is quite the singer. Check out his band: The Matadors
I am not sure if it is because summer is upon us or what. But, I keep blogging peeps in states of undress. So, befitting for my mood, I was digging through the archives of one of the most amazing bodies that I have ever shot: Mr. Cody Callahan (LA Models). Now, mind you, I have featured Cody here before. But, these shots are some outtakes from our last shoot almost 2 years ago.
Arguably, one of the nicest and most professional models that I have ever shot. Body for days with no ego. I have to get him back out here. He has long hair now. If you can even imagine it. He needs to be repped here in NYC. It is a crime. Viva Cody! He is my Throwback Thursday contribution. To see more of Cody’s commercial work, check him out at LA Models.
So, I shot a bit more on Ryan Mertz (Soul) that I wanted to share. I received quite a positive response from yesterday’s post. So, I wanted to share a more dressed down side of Ryan. Just good ole daylight does the trick. And, again, to see more of Ryan’s work, please visit his agency’s site here: Ryan Mertz. Thanks again to Ryan.
Check out my new editorial feature at Fantastics Mag featuring Katherine Small of the Agency and muse Aaron Van D. This is a love story gone awry. Simple love that required minimal styling. Soft light told through the deep emotional eyes of Katherine. For more of my story, please, check it out Katherine’s Dilmena here: Katherine
Thanks to my team that day: Michael Stallings (stylist) & Gregg Hubbard (hair and make-up).
I have been following this kid for a couple of years. And, finally, I had the pleasure of shooting one of the most beautiful faces this side of Hollywood. For those of you old enough, you will understand this reference. But, Ryan Mertz (Soul Artist Management) hearkens the days of Tab Hunter. Impossibly Coifed; Impossibly Handsome. Impossibly Hollywood.
So, my goal was to recreate some old school matinee idol with a bit of Margaret Howell simplicity mixed in. Polite and very kind, Ryan sat patiently as I tried to balance daylight mixed in with HMI lights. It is an old Roversi technique that I wanted to try out. I kept the styling simple, masculine and slightly romantic.
For more on Ryan, check out Soul Artist Management’s website. Thanks Andrew for setting this up. It was an awesome way tospend my day.
