Supawear featuring Alex Santaniello

So, what better way to end ‘the summer’ by posting a hot steamy swimwear story, right? I can’t believe it. But, here we are August 31, 2012. Labor Day weekend brings the last ditch attempts at the beach, the wear of your summer whites for the year (save for anyone from New Jersey of course), picnics and such. And, of course, New York turns into the center of the Fashion Universe due to NYFW. So, before we go into our Fall/Winter lulls, I wanted to introduce you to an amazing new underwear/swimwear line called 2eros based out of Australia. Check them out here: http://www.2eros.com.

And, check out my advertorial featured in AXN magazine of Major model Alex Santaniello wearing 2eros’ new line called Supawear. Happy Summer Trannies. Have a great and safe holiday weekend.

Drive-by_EY Magateen Edition

My Friend Brian ‘drove by’ The 386 to see little ole me on a beautiful summer night as we count down to Fall. I have shot Brian so many times that I wanted to mix it up. So, I have this t-shirt that says ‘Teens Do It’. I know; I know. It sounds a bit raunchy. But, it came for free with the purchase of the current EY Magateen. The magazine is a brilliant mix of just where the line tows of right and wrong. I love it. At any rate, I have been trying to find the right person to shoot this t shirt on. And, finally, after some coaxing, I got Brian to wear it. And, in the tradition of Luis Venegas, I wanted the look to be a bit edgy with a touch of porno chic. And, with Brian’s angelic Latino face mixed with that gaze of sex appeal, I believe mission accomplished. Thanks to Brian for playing along. And, hey, maybe I have a theme here . . . . hmmmmmmmm.  Anybody else wanna shoot in this t-shirt?

Happy Hump Day.

The D Collection by Troy Smith Lookbook

A while back  I shot a look book featuring the sartorial designs of Mr. Troy D. Smith of the D Collection for Urban Outfitters.  And, finally, the images have made their way to his buyers. Also, We made a video treatment of my photographs scored by a new hip-hop artist called LE1F. If you don’t know this cat, google him.  And, to add to our melange was uber masculine Jay Parks. Let me be the first to say it again: All Hail the return of the ‘Man’ to male modeling. The D Collection aesthetic is attainable fashion at a reasonable price. The D Collection are the coats that should be in every man’s wardrobe. Traditional, iconic and understated. Here are a few images from that day. But, please check Youtube for the video. It seems that WordPress.com will no longer allow video uploads without paying a whopping $99 fee  for their ‘video upgrade’. ( Shame on you WordPress for changing your plan without telling your customers.)

Thanks to Troy and Jay. It was an awesome day. And, keep your eyes peeled for a behind the scenes upcoming editorial on the shoot too.

Happy Friday_August 24, 2012 Edition

It is always nice when an old friend comes back into your life.

Great catching up with you Andres. I hope that you never outgrow your inner and external beauty. Happy Friday Trannies. One more official week of summer. Where did it go?

Color Color Castillo

My buddy Jhanelle and I shot a little something something before he and Ms. Nina(his better half) fled for the sunny state of California. As most of you who may know my work, I am more of a black and white portrait photographer. But, this summer I have been really working on honing my skills in shooting color. Now, mind you, I shoot in RAW but only in monochrome. I don’t like seeing my images in color. I never have. However, I see the image in color once I upload into Photo shop. But, I continue to process the contrasts and tones for black and white. I love A LOT of saturation that is what I am learning. So, of late, I have felt a bit more comfortable shooting and posting more color images. Here are two types of edits. Nothing too drastic from past images. But, now, I am seeing more consistency in post. Thoughts? Just curious. Otherwise enjoy the beautiful sight of Mr. Castillo.

Happy Tuesday. Thanks J. And, give Ms. Nina a big ole sloppy kiss on the cheek for me.
